Keeping on that up and up shit.
Lots going on in the SA world today. Shows, comps, new tape releases, and more plans for the future of the SA/EM crew.
...
First let's talk about these shows. The show at Tone House Music on the 18th went considerably well and Letdown and Brain will be playing there again on July 13th hopefully with more performances.
Before that Brain will be playing at Casablanca Vintage (northside) with some bands form out of town on June 15th. There's a chance (fingers crossed) Letdown might get to play as well.
June 22nd EM will be holding a Basement show at the Brain house (2841 Marshall ave. Cincinnati oh). As it stands the bill is Brain, Letdown, and Hardon Collider. We will have mass tapes and CDs available for purchase and some for free. Be there.
Then the very next day (June 23rd if you haven't been paying attention) we will return to the legendary Skatopia for the Bowl Bash 2012 event. A massive two day party with about 30 bands, including our very own Smile Bomb. If you went to the April fools work party back in march you won't want to miss this one. 34961 Hutton Rd. Rutland, OH 45775
Eye Machine's Captain Missouri has been hard at work organizing a couple of compilations. The first is called "Science" which features noise tracks and sound collages by Brain, Hat Goblin, MBD and Smile Bomb. I think all that's left is pressing copies and distributing it.
Next is the CopyWrong Number One compilation which features tracks comprised of illegal and uncredited use of copyrighted materials. I know. We bad.
We still need submissions to this comp so if you have something to contribute hit up the Captain. Here's how to do that.
Smile Bomb has been working despite no longer having a drummer. We have two releases in the works. The first is a new noise tape much like the previous "Eddie Money Elephant Lawyer". This is still a work in progress but we have submitted a track to the "Science" compilation. The second is a complete new EP entitled "Two Shakes" which features 6 new original tracks. It will soon be posted on the blog for free download and later a physical CD copy will be made available to your eager ears (also for free). You can hear three of those tracks right now, right here.
SA and EM would also like to welcome J.F. Sebastian to our ranks. This is some sweet new sound swag from our boy Nick Collins. He has a complete CD available if you hit us up. We will send you one.
That's all for now. Check back soon because I'm setting up a lot of links for downloads and streaming music from these amazing artists and working on more shows. Don't miss out.
